The 104th Annual Dinner was a great success last night, with over 250 members and guests attending. Thank you to all of you that attended. We hope you had a splendid evening.
The club has chosen to support The Lord’s Taverners once again. The Lord’s Taverners is the UK’s leading youth cricket and disability sports charity, breaking down barriers and empower disadvantaged and disabled young people to fulfil their potential and build life skills. Our aim was to provide a specifically adapted minibus for Young Epilepsy in Lingfield, Surrey. In doing so, this would be the 53rd minibus that 100 Property Club would have provided The Lord’s Taverners with the money we have raised.
We are proud to announce that with your generosity this year, we have beaten last year’s astonishing fundraising target of £20,000 and raised a WHOPPING £28,000 this year! Thank you so much to everyone that donated, we wouldn’t be able to provide this minibus without your generosity, so thank you so much! To our sponsors and supporters of the evening; McKay Securities, General Demolition, Adair, Janson and RO Real Estate, we would like to say thank you very much for all you have done.
We would also like to say a massive thank you to Kate Adie, who gave a magnificent speech about her time as a world-renowned journalist and the BBC’s first female Chief News Correspondent! Kate spoke about many of her war zone coverages, but her story about the Iranian Embassy siege in 1980, (being at the Embassy when the SAS assault began) was both moving and gripping!
Thank you again Kate for coming and speaking to us. It’s fair to say that you had everyone in the room listening intently to your speech.
Lastly, The Intercontinental Hotel has yet again been tremendously helpful in preparing the 104th Annual Dinner. Our thanks to Wendy, Marion and all the staff. Your hospitality was absolutely fabulous throughout the evening.
The committee of 100 Property Club wish you all the best for a prosperous and happy 2020.
